• MPIOK was awarded with a 2008-09 Chapter Business Manager Award: MPIOK Chapter was the first to succcessfully submit all compliance and CBM relationship documents.
• Sheila Scott-Halsell, Ph.D., OSU-HRAD has been tapped to teach in the Global Certificate in Meeting Operations I, in Qatar, November 09-13, 2008.
• Sheila Scott-Halsell, Ph.D., OSU-HRAD has been asked to serve on the MPI International Student Faculty Advisory Council.
• MPIOK Chapter recognized for a successful September 2008 with Highest Membership Growth among chapters with less than 300 members at 8.82%.  MPIOK's September retention rate was 78.43%.  Best in the West!
• MPIOK Chapter awarded a 2008 MPI Foundation Grant in the amount of $3600.00 USD to support May as Technology Month by funding a webinar that will be a collaboration between MPIOK and another MPI chapter.
